A GLIMPSE OF KATHLEEN ROGERS
"Kathleen is a well-known, and well-regarded, real estate agent with specialties in single-family and multi-unit residences.
She is known for her hard work, dedication, and calm persona throughout the sales process.
Kathleen, her mom and her daughter were all born in Santa Barbara.
She attended the University of Puget Sound, majoring in political science, with a minor in psychology.
Kathleen obtained her masters degree in public affairs at the University of Washington, and returned to Santa Barbara where she raised her daughter Madeline, who is now 20 years old and a 3rd year computer science major, at California Polytechnic Institute in San Luis Obispo.
Madeleine is an exceptional student who loves math, art and science, with an array of interests that portend well for her future career. She has worked on constructing and employing her artistry, on the award winning Cal Poly Rose Float for 3 consecutive years.
Kathleen is an athlete, the total adventure woman. She loves to hike, run the local trails, and learned to swim 1.2 miles in the ocean. She is a runner, cyclist, and triathlete, who completed the Santa Cruz Half Iron Man twice, with her daughter cheering her on, before taking her daughter to college.
Kathleen’s parents continue to reside in Santa Barbara. Her mother is a graduate of Bishop Garcia Diego High School, and her father graduated from South High in Bakersfield.
Kathleen’s parents and grandparents were all dedicated public servants. Her father is a retired firefighter, and her mother is a retired teacher.
Kathleen’s grandfather Thomas Thornton was the FBI Agent in Charge for Santa Barbara for 27 years. She has one younger sister who is a high school counselor in the Bay Area and a younger brother in Northern CA. Her Aunt, Uncles, and many cousins are all in California, if you don’t count Reno. Additional family members include two foster cats and a foster puppy.
In the time I have known Kathleen, I have learned what all of you already know, that she is a kind, caring, and highly intelligent individual, who puts others before herself. She exemplifies Service Above Self, the persona of the model Rotarian." - Ron B. February 2024
